The Celtic Prince’s tomb of Lavau
by Eliott Maintigneux
In Lavau, in the Aube region, archeologists have brought to light a grave of such wealth as to represent the highest elites of late Iron Age. Discovered in a burial mound with a diameter of 40 meters, this princely grave is amongst the most monumental gravestones to be known from this period, alongside that of Hochdorf in Germany and Vix in the Cote d’or region.
