Where do we come from? In a lively and accessible manner, the "In Our Footsteps" series seeks to understand how contemporary archeology attempts to answer this question. Nadia Cleitman, journalist, sets out in search of these archeologists who, day by day, find the "archives of the past" in the dug up soil – remnants of a hunter-gatherer campsite, of a Gaulish farm or of a medieval church.

In the form of a 26mm series, season 1 tackles the Paleolithic period, the Iron Age and the High Middle Ages. Season 2 covers the Neolithic period, the period of the Gauls and the Late Middle Ages.
